DefenseTech.org, the high profile blog profiling military hardware and technology has been purchased by Military.com, a portal offering free resources to serve, connect, and inform the American military that claims to have some 4 million members.

Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

The deal follows the recent purchase of TVNewser.com by MediaBistro.com, potentially setting a new trend for online companies wanting to get into blogging without setting up their own blogs.
