FT gets blog figures wrong

James Altucher from the Financial Times has written a nice article about the blogs he likes to read for insider tips on financial news stories, but unfortunately ruins his credibility on blogs by starting the piece with “With four million blogs – weblogs – on the internet and counting”.

As readers of The Blog Herald would know, there are in excess of 34.5 million blogs on the net, and even tracking services such as PubSub and Technorati list more that 8 million and 6 million blogs respectively on the internet – excluding Asian countries.

Lets just hope his ability to provide financial news is better that is understanding of blog numbers.
