Good news for bloggers using GMail: Google doubles storage space to 2gb

Good news for those in the blogosphere who are using arguably the best online email service available out there at the moment, Google’s Gmail service, with reports that following a recent move by competitor Yahoo! to match Google’s 1 GB of email storage that Google has decided that it will increase email storage on Gmail to 2gb per user.

Google said the increase will not be the last from the company, which intends to make further free storage increases on its Web e-mail system as user needs expand.

Very nice to add a new feature many people won’t need for a few months, in the meantime I’m getting this message.

When they carry out upgrades they should make sure it works before rolling it out. I haven’t been able to access my e-mail for at leat 12 hours now.

Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
