Another reason to be careful while on the net

I post comments only as “Mobile Phone Fan”. You are accussations of me posting comments under many other names, etc, prove that you are not only evil (exploiting bloggers, censoring other websites and commnets) but you also are insane.

Clearly this is Jacek again.. you can tell from the poor english.

Anyway, we don’t allow vulgar comments… if something was removed from my blog–or anywhere on the network–it was for that or being off topic (i.e. spam, self-promotion).

Proving once again that you can sometimes win an argument just by letting the other person talk. :-)

No, it is not “free blogosphere” because Jason creates tens (hundreds?) of blogs that interlink with each other and in many cases have it forbidden to link to competition (how often is Engadget linking to Gizmodo?). In other words Jason’s WeblogsInc creates snow-ball effect and thus destroys other small independent bloggers, who have then no chances to thrive.

When Peter Rojas left Gizmodo and created Engadget the msmobiles.com news website (that is not a blog) web publishing banners to Engadget to popularize it as a new gadget blog and I hoped (naively) that there could be some kind of cooperation between endgadget.com and msmobiles.com but later it came out that Peter Rojas is not a free man and he cannot just do whatever he would like to do: he can’t link to other websites freely because WeblogsInc is imposing linking policy (just see at the bottom of Endgaddget links to non-gadget blogs of WeblogsInc) and “stuff of WeblogsInc” is responsible for several things and neither Peter Rojas nor bloggers who write for Peter Rojas can decide about things.

So in any case it is not “free blogosphere” but Jason tries to build through his WeblogsInc exactly this: “close blogosphere” where he is slave master and his blogs are number one in all areas and all other blogs cannot count on any recognition or traffic.

Anyway I have 2 suggestions: one to Jason Calacanis: instead of attacking me with lies and trying to destroy me and to destroy msmobiles.com maybe you should create “Windows Mobile blog” and compete with msmobiles.com on merit, not by dirty tricks as you do.

Suggestion 2 to Peter Rojas: you own domain “Engadget.com”. I recommend you to leave Jason Calacanis – the slave master – and to start getting your own advertising, instead of getting just peanuts from Jason. As Jason said: some his blogs are not profitable, so which blogs are suffering? The most profitable of course.

Jason, that what you are practicing here is blind ravange for my posts about you that claim that you exploit bloggers and that you don’t deserve any venture capital because you don’t have any products or services to offer.

You, Jason, also gave me your phone number to call you – to clear things – but I see that you totally went bonkers when you noticed that I can scare VCs away from you. Instead of dialog you prefer attacking me and repeating lies and libel!

Uhhh… that’s crazy:

1. We pay the same amount as others in the space, more in many cases

2. We don’t see any of the bloggers leaving for better paying gigs

3. We lose money on our blogs for months in order to build them

4. It’s a free blogosphere… anyone can leave at any time and start a blog on blogger.com for free if they don’t want to work with us!!

This guy is crazy, really. I don’t like to give him any press, but he’s editing comments on his site, posting fake ones on mine, and slandering folks left and right.

Google News is not Google Search… Google selects their news sources. It’s not a right to be in Google News, it’s a privilege. This guy does not deserve to be in there for any number of reasons. In the index? Sure. Google News? No way.

Destory? No blog can “destroy” another blog. Do Autoblog, Joystiq, and Engadget get more traffic then other blogs in their vertical? Yep, and we busted our butts to get there!!!

However, many of our other blogs are number two or three in their vertical and we’ve got a lot more work to do if we want to be number one…. that’s the great thing about the open platform of the Internet: talent rises, and it can’t be held back. Gizmodo is now #2 behind Engadget, but are they “destroyed” — no way. Gizmodo makes more money at Gawker Media then any other blogs, and more then it ever has.

What this guy is concerned with is that we don’t link to his insane ramblings… but that is the choice of the individual bloggers not “Weblogs, Inc.” We can’t tell our bloggers what to blog… they would leave!

Look at his last email to me. This guy is seriously disturbed… (I never made any agreement with this guy not to publish his email, nor would I ever negotiate with a stalker).
