SixApart has announced new measures to combat comment and trackback spam that is being received by its paid users on their TypePad blogging service.

Included in the changes will be the ability to moderate comments and trackbacks
According to SixApart users will “be able to pre-screen comments and TrackBacks and approve them before they appear on your published weblog.”

Support for TypeKey-based comment authentication will also become available to TypePad users.
