Server problems with SixApart’s TypePad service has seen prominent bloggers including Steve Rubel and Seth Godin lose data on their blogs, according to Steve Rubel.

However in a sure sign that SixApart has learnt from the errors in the past, SixApart CEO Barak Berkowitz has written to affected bloggers apologizing (yes, they even know the word now!) and offering a free 6 month extension to their hosting packages. Kudos to SixApart on handling the problem so well.
