OK, this isn’t strictly blog related but it plays a big role in my daily blogging. The new version of Firefox has been released, and yet I read this media release on plugins. It’s of course right. Every time Firefox updates all your favorite plugins no longer work, really, really stupid design fault. I’ve also noticed problems with the new Firefox crashing and freezing up after never having any problems with the previous version. I don’t think I could ever go back to IE, but perhaps the bigger a browser gets the more they forget about the little people?

I am having the same problems with FF. I hate that.

There’s also been a few websites that worked okay in v1.0.x, but which break in v1.5
I too can’t go back to IE … but I’m feeling the pain right now with Firefox … I’m a bit disappointed.

Agreed with the post. I decided to wait 30 days before mooving forward. The release seemed to be rushed.

Again, agree with all of the above. Half my plugins and themes didn’t work after the upgrade and it’s constantly crashing.
I’m finding it slower than the previous version too, even though I installed FasterFox.
They obviously took it out of beta too quick.

I found that fasterfox actually slows my firefox down. Strange. Works faster after removing it. Most extensions now work with recent updates.
