A 12-year-old, Grade 6 Indiana school boy was arrested last week and is now facing charges of misdemeanor harassment for posting to his blog death threats targeted at his teacher, classmates and school administrators.
Hammond police, with the assistance of the FBI, arrested the boy and released him to his parents after he admitted making the posting to his blog, which he claimed was a prank.
Indystar reports that with no way of knowing if the threat made on blog was serious or a joke, investigators and school officials assumed the worst and ramped up security at the school.
