MySpace = Blogging?
Shyeah, and This Comment = Literature.
MySpace is a part of the greater social network, and yeah, it is a big part. Fine, a bloody huge part. But I’m yet to find too many serious blogging attempts there. It’s fine to count the myriad of MSNSpaces out there as blogs, I might even allow Xanga, but I’ve got to draw a line at MySpace, the same as Flickr and Del.icio.us sites are not blogs. Call me a blogsnob, but it’s just not the same thing.
MySpace doesn’t need to be the new blogosphere. With 50-whatever million spaces, it is more than sufficient for it to be the new MySpaceosphere. It has now become an entity in its own right.
