Thanks for the kind words.

The new design is in development, it will be a few weeks before you see it go live here. Let's classify it as Classy.

We're not disclosing the price other than to say that both parties believe that they got a fair deal.

Wow, it was BlogMedia Inc then... Congrats guys and continue doing us proud and be sure to bring the TBH in the Top 50 very very soon! And a question, if you don't mind can we have the price for which you bought this? Ofcourse, if this classified, then I'm sorry!

And Make this a more rocker place with some loaded features.

New design,,, oo! I'm interested, will it be Techno or Snazzy or plain and attractive?

Mike writes:

I’ve got a serious question though, does anybody outside of the blog network owners really read these blogs on blogs?

Hey Mike, thanks for the kind words and for dropping by.

I think that depends on what blog we're talking about.

Problogging gets read by folks interested in professional blogging or making money on their blogs.

JOAB/Blogger Idol are read mostly by blog network related folks.

Blog Network Watch is read by advertisers, publishers, media folks, and of course, those interested in blog networks.

BloggerJobs is read by those looking for writing, media, marketing, and blogging positions.

The Blog Herald is different - it has a very wide audience of folks interested in blogs, blogging, and technology - the site gets alot of linkage from folks interested in the broader social impact of the blogosphere as well. So this particular blog pushes us out in front of a different audience.

So as a business question, do you guys find it difficult to reach out to new readers? I’m asking just because you have 4 or 5 blogs that essentially hit the same audience (blog network owners, those who care about blog networks, new blogs, etc.) so I’m wondering if the potentially finite audience is limiting your growth at all.

I think The Blog Herald touches a different group as I outline above. Beyond that, we're working on several technology and entertainment blogs that also reach different audiences.

I think you hit on a key point though, and that's that we've cornered the blog news market - it's still a good niche to be in and one that we enjoy covering (or at least I do anyways) - now we'll work to drive some synergies across the various sites in this channel while planning our next launches.

Thanks again for offering up your thoughts,
Matt

Very good pickup guys, TBH will be a great addition to your arsenal.

I've got a serious question though, does anybody outside of the blog network owners really read these blogs on blogs? BlogMedia is now in charge of Blog Herald, Blogger Idol, Blog Network Watch, Problogging, and Jack of all Blogs, and all these blogs are essentially talking about the same information -- blog networks and weblogs in general. I think I could ask the next 50,000 people I run into on the street if they could name a weblog network and they'd look at me as though I was an alien!

So from a business standpoint, BlogMedia has essentially a corner on the market of reporting blog network news, but is that really where you guys would like to be? At 9rules we're constantly trying to distance ourselves from the typical blog network definition, the typical tech-savvy readership and whatnot, just because we like going after the larger slice of the population instead of the seemingly infinitesimally small percentage that cares about who's leaving/joining what network, or what new blogs are launching, or what blogger is receiving a cease and desist letter, etc.

Best,
