For all of the grief that Automattic has taken over the stability issues of Wordpress.com, I think that this chart tells a much more compelling story.

It’s normal for Alexa chart to go down and up again in a short period of time. BTW, I think the title is quite misleading. Blogosphere does not contain one domain but millions. Check out technorati blog for a more accurate info.
