Google buys YouTube

Filed as Uncategorized on October 9, 2006 6:11 pm

I predicted it this weekend and some of the commenters here didn’t believe me.. but MSNBC is reporting that Google has purchased YouTube for $1.65b.

This all-stock deal gives Google the corner on video search, tagging, and content - although it does open up Google to the massive copyright issue that YouTube represents… time will tell how that will play out.
