Why Socially Driven News is Better

When the news broke earlier today that Donald Rumsfeld will be resigning, one thing became really clear. While it took upwards of 25 minutes for the major news networks to get the news from the wire, the top three social bookmarking sites had the news within 3-5 minutes.

    But do we really want to know what Donald Rumsfeld does within 3-5 minutes? Does it add to the quality of our lives?

    Not being a news junkie, I’d prefer to wait the 25 - or preferably longer. :-)
