Live Blogging a Supreme Court Justice

Filed as General on November 12, 2006 10:26 am

We’ve all seen live blogging at a tech conference, or even live commenting (Liz Strauss, I’m looking at you — every tuesday!), but how about live blogging at a presentation by a Supreme Court Justice of the United States, Antonin Scalia?

Well, its true.

A Yale student got on his laptop and live-blogged the whole thing, from his comments to the question and answer portion of the talk; pretty fascinating stuff — if you’re interested in originalist philosophy of constitutional interpretation that is.

But a great example of a fairly techy-aspect of blogging going outside of the techosphere.

And of course if you are a law-blogger … well, enjoy!

So cool you had to say it twice! :)

I guess you never know who’s blogging in the audience these days.

I heard that they hold all of their … whatever it is they do … “in camera”, and that there are no cameras inside the Supreme Court.

So, I guess it is pretty cool. ;)
