Some times we are so focused on our own writing, our own blogs, our own promotion, that we forget there is a whole world of blogging out there.
How often do you go out and really connect with other bloggers? I mean really connect, not just drop a few comments here and there in order to get noticed.
Todays 10 Minute Tip is … go out and connect with people
- Really read what others have written and comment or email
- Join a blogging forum and get to know the members, ask and answer questions
- Use messaging or even better call a blogger on Skype and have a chat
By reaching out to fellow bloggers you expand your field of view and release yourself from being trapped in your own ego bubble. You will find as well as helping other people, which is rewarding in itself, you will generate far more ideas.
Of course you might be happy sitting in your blog-cave growing your beard and toenails, I know I prefer to be a social blogger :)

Chris, I think its a good idea to click on (at least) one new blog link everyday. That way you can usually find some new bloggers. One out of twenty usually write something interesting. If you’re into politics (Iraq war, election) well the blogging possibilities are endless. The design might suck but the writing can be interesting.

nothing wrong with being a blogger that doesn’t interact as much the social ones. we’re just as successful.

First step after reading this is read it again (“Really read what others have written”) and then comment on it (“and comment”). good now that that is over I have to find a blogging forum.
