Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

I don’t understand. Did you or did you not access WordPress.com when you were in Thailand? I believe it has something to do with censorship and the Thailand government. You’ll have to read the article referenced above for more information on what’s happening, and if the ban has been lifted.

Widgets are very cool, and useful for those who need their particular task, much better than digging into the code and messing up your WordPress Theme. :D Unfortunately, not all WordPress Themes have been widgetized.

Man I love WP 2.1.3 – I just hope there isnt a mandatory update for it – I just dont like that new widget with the new WP – I can’t customize my format the way I want to

Actually, there is. WordPress 2.1.x is insecure and was replaced by the 2.2.x line. The only stable and secure branches as of right now are the 2.0.x and 2.2.x versions.

As for widgets, you don’t have to use them. I don’t. They’re just there for those who want to.
