Of course it sounded familiar, Lorelle. There were quite a handful of times when I tried to write about something that I wasn’t good at — I did a lot of research, read a lot of related posts, and I tried to make those posts sound natural.

But you know what? I realized my readers would tell that those posts weren’t natural, plus I didn’t feel good writing them.

Excellent post Lorelle!

As I’m getting more and more into blogging, I’m finding a lot of truth in the words you expressed here. I’ve tried to blog about subjects that are popular, or that others had asked me to write about and it just doesn’t feel natural. That comes across in the writing as well.

I’ll stick to blogging about subjects that “serve my muse”.
