WordPress.com and the New DashBar
It really should be called DashBar, that top bar that all WordPress.com blogs sport. That includes hosted blogs as well, such as GigaOM, which I’ve used to demo this new feature – and incidentally try out some screencasting as well. Fun stuff.
I also got the opportunity to play with the new iMovie, from the iLife package. I liked the fact that it’s closer to GarageBand than the previous version, but other than that I had a hard time getting on with it. Could perhaps be because I was dead tired and didn’t want to fire up Logic for the sound recording, nor fix my microphone settings.
Still, the screencasting software worked out nicely, so I’ll be sure to return to that one in the near future.
Thord Daniel Hedengren is a designer, writer, and blogger, and also the former editor of The Blog Herald. He used to be a hotshot in the gaming industry in Sweden, but sold everything and went International. Most recently he wrote a book called Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog, and does loads of kickass design.
This is not new and has been around for a while on WordPress.com. It certainly makes it easy to access multiple WordPress.com blogs that you own.
Yeah, I figured it was. That’s why I started the video like I did. ;)
