There’s a lot of wisdom and food for thought here. I’ve been working hard at providing solid content for my audience and fretting at the low traffic – spending an inordinate amount of time trying to get it to come to me. I’m on the edge of realising that by letting go of the demands I am placing on myself and this mythical ‘traffic’, it will come unbidden and attracted by the content alone. I get the point about keywords though and have probably not been at conscious of this as I could. Lesson learnt for today!!

Lorelle: Thanks again for sharing your insights and experience. I was one of those whose energy and blog became scattered. Your tip on focusing my blog has done wonders to my state of mind. Now, I post less often and am much happier. I realized that if the “giving” is good, people will come back. I also learned that I shouldn’t want “everyone” to visit my blog because it’s not meant for everyone. Thank you so much again for saving my blog from being scattered in the winds of the blogosphere.

I used to WANT a lot of things when I started blogging, but I have not-so-recently channeled my energy to GIVING instead because I found it so much more satisfying :D

Excellent points Lorelle! When I first started blogging, I was blogging about a lot of nothing, just writing for the sake of writing. Boring and dull, and when I look back at those earliest posts I cringe. How stupid of me!

Fortunately things have changed a lot, as I’ve become very focused on writing within my niche, and the traffic is now rolling in along with the links. Thank you for these great points, and I’ll continue to keep them in mind as I continue in my endeavors.
