Ads Coming To Twitter?
April 15, 2008 | By Thord Daniel Hedengren | Filed Under Microblogging
It appears that Twitter have or is running tests for including ads on their popular site, reports TechCrunch. I have yet to see any ads myself, but it is probably just a matter of time anyway - a site like this must cost a fortune to keep running.
Personally, I don’t mind ads, as long as they aren’t too obtrusive. Text ads are fine, and I must say that Pownce have a nice solution, with die-hards having the option to pay for more features, including not having to see the ads. The only thing I really don’t want are direct messages containing ads. I’ll be out of there in a jiffy should that come to be.
What do you think? Would you mind ads on Twitter?

I don’t have an issue with people generating revenue to support themselves. Popups etc., are annoying, but there’s no reason why you can’t generate revenue without upsetting people
