		<description>Unfortunately, those at TechCrunch seem to be too arrogant and self-assured as the &#039;kingmakers&#039; of the web2.0 era.

If somebody disagrees with them, they slate them. I&#039;m thinking of Duncan Riley&#039;s attack on Louis Gray, because the latter said the former hadn&#039;t understood the power of FriendFeed.

When somebody does pick them up on a mistake, they choose to either:
1. Ignore it, or
2. Lambast the one who calls it

TechCrunch - especially including Arrington and Riley - should read Om Malik, Matthew Ingram, Louis Gray to realise that good journalism can actually be polite and friendly.</description>

We can&#039;t have it both ways as bloggers - if we want the respect we sometimes demand of others in our role as new media - then we need to be willing to abide by some of the roles &amp; guidelines of the &quot;old media&quot;....
