Google Chrome Available for Mac and Linux, Sort Of
Windows emulation masters CodeWeavers has launched CrossOver Chromium for Mac OS X and Linux. It is basically emulating the open-source content in Google Chrome, the Chromium project, under OS X and Linux, so if you’re dying to try Google’s web browser out, this is you chance.
However, beware! This is from the Q&A:
Q. Should I run CrossOver Chromium as my main browser?
A. Absolutely not! This is just a proof of concept, for fun, and to showcase what Wine can do. Chromium itself is just beginning. As the Chromium project progresses, they will be providing more compelling support for Mac OS and Linux, particularly with process security and memory management. Those future versions from Chromium will be better suited for daily use than this version.See Also
There isn’t any native versions of Google Chrome nor Chromium itself yet, so this will have to do, unless you’re using Windows. Like most of you are.

it’s going to be a 35 MB file for fedora .. hmm waiting for more feedback
Why? It’s not like it takes more than a few minutes for even the slowest connections to download 35MB these days. :?
That headline looks oddly familiar :-)
Yeah, I saw that too late, Duncan. Sorry about that, you’ll have to take my word for it that I didn’t get this story from your site. Actually, it was a tip on Jaiku. :)
it’s funny, the more i use Chrome (for windows), the more unstable it seems to get… crashes a lot more, can’t handle sites with flash, hangs every time i close a tab… all that to say, i’m switching back to Firefox
As a mac user and software developer i may say that chrome has long way to be my first hand browser also i am not a firefox fun. And google has a bad habbit to keep applications in beta state more, so lets see more stable and enhanced one.
