Yeah, the wordpress application for the iPhone is an essential for any avid blogger. They need to be able to write about topics as they happen!

You're waiting for your food at the restaurant and you're able to create new articles for your blog in your spare time!

Definately a great tool!

Definitely. It's also good for some aspects of social networking, too, as there are apps for FaceBook, LinkedIn (I believe), etc. Also plenty of Twitter clients though they do seem to drain the battery quite quickly.

Thinking about it again, one of the main issues for me is not the entering of large amounts of text, but the fact that there's no easy way to get photos into blog posts, because the file system isn't available on non-jailbroken phones. It means you're stuck with using photos from your gallery, or from a service such as Photobucket.

Yes, you can save images from the web to the photo library easily, but they often need editing, which is also tough on the iPhone.

It really depends what your style of blogging is.

I haven't got an iPhone yet. But with some luck I will have one within the next 6 months. Then I will be using this wordpress application vigorously while I am on the road. I think it would be awesome to be able to work anywhere in the world and this is a great way to manage and reply to comments and promote your blog whilst outside
