It looks as if Byline (a popular iPhone app for Google Reader) and BlogPress (the unofficial iPhone app for Blogger) are teaming up for the holidays by offering users the chance to download one of their respective apps for free after purchasing the other application on iTunes.

(BlogPress) Byline is a powerful RSS reader, you can read the latest news from your favorite sites and blogs on your iPhone or iPod Touch, even when [you're] offline. [...]

We’re giving away three copies of Byline every day from the 18th December until the end of the month.

To win a copy, just forward your iTunes Store receipt for BlogPress to [email protected] if you’ve purchased on or after 15th December.

(Byline) BlogPress is an easy-to-use WYSIWYG blog editor for your iPhone or iPod Touch. It supports all the maintream blogging platforms, including Blogger, WordPress and Movable Type.

This offer is open to users internationally, although you can only redeem the prize from a US iTunes App store (which may not make many international users very happy).

Byline and BlogPress are currently selling for $5 each, respectivly, and this “buy one, get one free” deal is currently running until December 30th (right before New Year’s Eve).

Whether this new relationship is seasonal or reoccuring has yet to be seen, although either way this is an excellent way for bloggers belonging to the iCult to save some money while acquiring two excellent iPhone apps.
