GoView: new screen casting service demoed

Filed as News on March 3, 2009 8:28 am

Citrix Online has demonstrated its new GoView service, which can be used to record, edit and share the computer screen complete with audio, at this year’s DEMO conference.

Screen casting isn’t a particularly new idea now, and there are other online services that will help you to create one, but this software comes with the backing of a pretty heavyweight company.

Such software is great for creating “how to” guides as well as other presentations. As well as one-click recording, GoView allows the editing of mistakes and annotations. Once complete, the presentation can be shared from the GoView web site to an unlimited audience.

GoView is currently in beta and is free to use, so it might be worth taking a look to see if it’s a tool that could fit into your blogging activities.

Let us know what you think of it.

Quite similar to ScreenToaster. But both can not provide much editing features.
If I need more editing features I will take something like DemoCreator.
