I'm sorry to be a bother, but you still did not fix the first error that João pointed out. In the second paragraph of "Bottom Line", the second "Twitterrific" should actually be "Tweetie".
"Though Twitterrific has some great features, especially the customizable feature that lets you edit the way the program responds to taps, double taps and triple taps on the avatar, it just felt slightly slower than TWITTERRIFFIC* and that really hurt in a critical moment."
*Should be Tweetie.
Sorry to nitpick, but it's who I am.
Other than that, this was a wonderful article. I know which one I'll be getting now!

Everyone: Sorry for the delays in responding, was not available most of the day yesterday after posting.

Yurasis: You're right that I didn't cover that. Part of it was that they aren't features I've used and I, personally, don't consider them to be very important. Still, you are right that for those who need them and desire them, Tweetie has them.

Since I don't program for the iPhone I'm not sure if that is how you're supposed to write the app. I know some do and some don't Skype did it that way, as did Facebook, but Pandora did not. Might be a whole other article here...

I also do agree it isn't a big expense to try it. But considering the way iPhone apps are priced these days, rightly or wrongly, it can seem like more than it is.

Thomas: I've corrected the story, I was unable to find the feature and several sites reported Tweetie did not have it. I was able to find it with the help I got in an email.

David: Same to you, my apologies for the error.

João: Story has been corrected for both of those problems as well. Thank you. I'm realizing now I got horribly messed up talking about two apps with similar names. Thank you again.

Gedeon: I've got the image compression set to medium, in some testing setting it to low impacted image quality. On that note, Tweetie has many different compression settings (using a slider) and Twitterrific uses only three (Low, Medium and High). The ideal, for my images seems to be at about the 1/3 mark on Tweetie, which puts it somewhere between "Low" and "Medium" on Twitterrific.

Regarding the layout button, while that is true, it involves sacrificing the avatar, which Tweetie does not. However, even then I only see an average of six tweets per screen. In my testing, it only gained me an average of .5 to 1 tweet per screen. Still, I have added a correction to mention that.

Sportsplayer: Both have desktop version for Mac.

A couple points that I found incorrect:
1. As mentioned by others, Tweetie does allow for multiple accounts
2. Tweetie does have a free ap, you just have to view an advertisement every once and a while which I can say from experience is not obtrusive because I abhor ad's but these don't bother me.
Otherwise, I found it to be a very informative review. Thank you!

I appreciate the even-handed review, but I feel the need to point out to things. First, if image uploading feels "slow" on Twitterrific, I suggest increasing image compression in Settings > Advanced. Second, I take issue with your statement that says Tweetie shows "more tweets" in the timeline than Twitterrific. Twitterrific's layout button means that you can view the timeline in mini-mode which effectively doubles or triples the number of tweets you can see at any one time. Tweetie doesn't have this ability last time I checked.

All that said, thanks for the great review.

Please correct the following sentence (I believe the second "Twitterrific" should be "Tweetie"):

"Though TWITTERIFIC has some great features, especially the customizable feature that lets you edit the way the program responds to taps, double taps and triple taps on the avatar, it just felt slightly slower than TWITTERIFIC..."

And by the way: "Twitterrific" has two R's.

I'm a big fan of both Tweetie and Twitterrific, but to set the record straight: Tweetie has done multiple accounts since it landed as a 1.0 in the store. You might possibly have disabled this feature in Tweetie's preferences in the Settings app, but it is on by default.

I found the Twitterific UI a bit confusing, definitely a bigger learning curve than for Tweetie, which I was using like an old friend almost immediately. However, I still have Twitterific on my iPhone 3G and play with it occasionally, just to get more familiar with it ... still not that comfortable with it wrt Tweetie.

I also love Tweetie's integration of Twitlonger and TweetShrink ( you missed mentioning these ) when 140 characters just isn't quite enough.

Both Tweetie and Twitterific allow two options in the format of your re-tweets : the "RT" and the "via" methods ... it's nice to have choice.

Yes, Tweetie requires you to leave the app and go into "Settings" ... that's how you're supposed to write an iPhone app, or so I have been told.

Tweetie only costs $2.99 folks, not exactly a big expense. Even if you bought it, tried it and didn't like it ... you're out ( kind of, updates/enhancements do exist ) a whopping $2.99, wow!
