A Blog About a TV Network? Really?
Blog network b5media announced the launch of TNT Report, a blog focusing solely on the TNT TV network. I’m having a hard time wrapping my hear around that one, why blog about a specific TV network? Sure, they focus on drama series, but why not blog about the series themselves, and not limit to just the TNT network? Ah well, someone obviously did some market research and found this to be a good idea.
I have an easier time grasping the potential of Miley Cyrus blog Miley Report, announced a while back. This is after all one of those teen heavyweights.
Thord Daniel Hedengren is a designer, writer, and blogger, and also the former editor of The Blog Herald. He used to be a hotshot in the gaming industry in Sweden, but sold everything and went International. Most recently he wrote a book called Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog, and does loads of kickass design.
Having run a blog network myself with a major focus on tv and entertainment verticals, TNT shows don’t have enough following to warrant their own blogs. A blog focused on the ALL the shows on TNT makes more sense. There’s other factors, like shorter show schedules, etc. I can’t speak for b5, but this was the logic behind how we made those types of decisions.
