1. Share goals. Write them down and show them to your spouse. They might not care or fully understand what “increase number of uniques” means, but it will show them that blogging is ‘serious’ work. It will also help hold you accountable. By sharing what is possible (make extra money, land a new job, etc.), your husband or wife will get a better understanding of what is driving your blogging activity.

2. Show income. There’s nothing like making money to show people that a ‘hobby’ is worth the time and effort. If you are fortunate enough to bring in some cash, be sure your significant other is aware. Your inclination might be to let the money sit in a Paypal account for a rainy day (or new Playstation game), but by sharing this information, you make them feel part of the process and have something tangible to show for your work.
