Facebook Network Issues Blamed On Network Provider

Filed as News on September 22, 2010 10:34 pm

FacebookSome of Facebook’s users today were without access to the popular social media site, an outage Facebook officials say occured due a third party networking provider error.

The outage didn’t affect all users and Facebook told social media site Mashable:

“We are experiencing an issue with a third party networking provider that is causing problems for some people trying to connect to Facebook,”  adding  “We are in contact with this provider in order to explore what can be done to resolve the issue. In the meantime, we are working on deploying changes to bypass the affected connections.”

The problem with third party issues? Good luck trying to get an ETA for when the issue will be fixed and you’re left with nothing.
