Presidential Inauguration App

When President Obama is inaugurated for the second time on January 21, 2013 his inauguration will be met with the release of both iOS and Android apps.

The new apps were launched on Tuesday by thePresidential Inaugural Committee and feature several useful functions including a schedule of events and SMS texts for up to the minute proceedings alerts.

The new presidential inauguration will also be updated with photos and videos from Obama’s social media accounts.

Also useful to anyone attending the inauguration is an in-app map that shows the D.C. parade route while highlighting pedestrian access points. The map also shows users where to find first aid booths and restrooms.

The President Obama inauguration app is fully downloadable which means crowded cellular networks during the big event won’t affect its basic use.

Before everyone starts screaming about the cost of the app for taxpayers, the Inaugural Committee is largely funded by private individual donors and businesses including AT&T.

You can download the Obama inauguration app for free via the Apple App Store and Google Play marketplace.
