Despite being late to the analytics game, Blogger has recently unveiled live stats for BlogSpot fans in order to help their users attain a greater grasp of where their traffic is coming from.
Although some of you use Google Analytics or other third party tools to track your blog traffic, many of you have requested an easier-to-use, fully-integrated stats feature for Blogger. We heard that, and we are excited to announce that Blogger in Draft now has built-in stats. Just go to Blogger in Draft, and you’ll notice a new “Stats” tab. You don’t have to install or configure anything to start benefitting [sic] from Stats.
The coolest thing about the new Blogger Stats is that it monitors and analyzes your visitor traffic in near-real-time. You can see which posts are getting the most visits and which sites are sending traffic to your blog right now. (Blogger In Draft)
This latest feature should help put the world’s most popular blogging service on par with WordPress, who also boasts an internal stats service known as WordPress Stats.

After waiting many, many months for a Drupal iPhone app to appear upon Steve Jobs app store, it looks like a developer has finally created an elegant Drupal app for fans of the CMS service.
Entitled Drupad, this iPhone app gives Drupal lovers the power to manage their site on the go and is even iOS 4 compatible (unlike many blog apps on the app store unfortunately).
Priced at $4.99 USD, Drupad may seem to be a bit pricey when compared to other CMS/blogging apps (with the exception being Joomla Admin Mobile which is twice as expensive!).

Even though WordPress is already planning (or rather debating) on updating WordPress for iOS with push notifications, it looks like a third party app by Kele (of DevShare) may finally alert WP fans whenever they receive a new comment upon their blog.
CommentPush let you receive iPhone push notification when someone leave comment on your blog or the blog you subscribe for a push notify.
You never need check your blog manually again and again just looking for new comment.

The app only supports WP.org users (aka self hosted bloggers) as it requires you to install a plugin in order for the app to send push notifications to your respective iDevice.
Once installed, users have to configure whether they want to receive push notifications for every comment submitted (which is an insane option as that includes spam) or for verified comments that appear on your WordPress blog.
Unfortunately the app does not present you with an option to open up the official WordPress iPhone app (a feature I would pay money for!!) but instead launches you within Comment Push itself, who gives you the option to visit your blog in Safari.
Comment Push is currently free in the app store (note: iTunes link), and until the WordPress crew integrates push notifications within the WP iOS app, Comment Push is a must have app for WordPress fans everywhere.
Now that Twitter has launched official apps upon Blackberry, Android and the mighty iPhone, fanboys (and girls) of the respective smartphones may wonder what the twitterverse looks like from another device.

BlogBooster has released an iPhone app that allows you to not only insert multiple images, but also includes a formatting bar allowing you to italicize, embolden, underline as well as strike through text without having to manually type in the coding. You can also manually insert hyperlinks as well (another plus!).
Although the app seems geared towards WP fans, BlogBooster also supports Blogger, Typepad and Tumblr, with more platforms on the way (not to mention an upcoming iPad app!).
Priced at $4.99 USD, some may wonder if the app is worth it, especially when their are less expensive rivals like BlogPress (not to mention free official alternatives for WordPress, Typepad and Tumblr).

Seesmic has (finally) launched their official iPhone app, which allows users to send status updates to Twitter, Google Buzz, WordPress, Facebook, Blogger and about 45 other social networks and blog platforms (thanks to Ping.fm).
The app is not meant as a replacement of the official Twitter, Facebook or WordPress apps (as one can tell by its basic functionality), the Seesmic iPhone app is geared towards socialholics who want to update numerous sites simultaneously.
While Seesmic does borrow the “columns feature” from Tweetdeck, changing accounts is not as smooth as the latter (as Seesmic required two fingers swiping together, while Tweetdeck only requires one). read more
The fact that WordPress has already created an official iPhone app upon Steve Jobs playground has not deterred developers from launching premium WP apps, the latest being Blog.NET (which was created by TSWC).
Although spending a 199 pennies may not be that expensive for the average blogging app (especially then there are iPhone apps selling for $10!), WordPress geeks may want to check out the brief review below to see if Blog.NET is right for them. read more
I know, there are several other FeedBurner apps out there, such as Ego and FeedCount App. But Stat Fever is not only selling for $1 (instead of $2 like its rivals), but also boasts a nicer user interface (with graphs on the side).
Created by Paranoid Ferret Productions, Stat Fever allows bloggers to see how many readers are subscribed to their RSS feed or email posts (via FeedBurner of course).
