Twitter Spreads Deals With @EarlyBird Account
Dell computers made a huge splash when they sold millions of dollars worth of product through their Twitter account and now Twitter themselves are getting in on the action, using @EarlyBird to spread deal love to followers.
The program is simple, Twitter allows advertisers to pitch their best deals, then Twitter picks the best deals, charges those advertisers to display their ads and sends the tweets to the account which can be tracked by visitors to the profile. Users who are following @EarlyBird will also see new ads in their timeline.
As the name would suggest, some deals are time-sensitive (early bird gets the worm), while other deals may be limited by supply. Twitter also warns that some terms may apply for certain offers. read more
