After introducing the world to iExpression in July, Red When Excited (from the United Kingdom) has been tirelessly working on improving their unofficial ExpressionEngine app with the impending release of version 1.4 for iOS.
While iExpression’s latest version promises to match WordPress for iOS by allowing EE fans to upload videos to their blogs, the app goes one step further by including an additional feature lacking from official and unofficial video blogging apps (like BlogPress).
We are adding some cool file management features. Take a photo or record a movie and instantly upload. Upload files (archives, movies, pictures, WHATEVER) from e-mail attachments, web-pages, or other applications and very importantly your Dropbox account :-) You can also delete files you no longer need. Red When Excited has also provided a video (as shown below) highlighting the upcoming features which should help give ExpressionEngine fans an edge over their WordPress rivals on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. read more

Fans of ExpressionEngine (a premium CMS/blogging software developed by EllisLabs) have been criticizing the company lately over bugs from the company’s launch of ExpressionEngine 2.0 (which was released in July).

In response to the criticism (which seems to have the support of many EE developers), EllisLab issued a response upon their corporate blog. read more

Unlike their TextPattern friends who are still waiting to embrace the iVerse, lovers of ExpressionEngine (a premium blog service for “elite bloggers”) can now blog from their iDevices thanks in part to a third party company.
We have just released iExpression for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. iExpression does not require any add-ons other than those shipped with every copy of ExpressionEngine and supports all 1.X and 2.X versions.
iExpression enables posting and post management for multiple sites, but is also the perfect tool for developers to supply to their customers to enable them to easily post to the sites you build for them.
Supporting image uploads (directly from the camera, or from the image library) iExpression uses a simple user interface to enable you and your customers to get their content up on their sites wherever they are. (ExpressionEngine forums).
Created by Red When Excited (who are based in the UK), iExpression allows EE fans to create and edit content on their blogs, as well as upload images to their respective servers. read more
