A call to arms: Jim Elve vs The Government of Canada: help us support Jim

Duncan Riley> I’ve received an email from BlogsCanada blog-guru Jim Elve this evening that was to say the least disturbing. The Treasury Board of Canada, through a Department of Justice lawyer, has requested that BlogsCanada cease and desist the display of items they contend are covered by the Copyright Act.

Now Jim is not asking for money, but until he does and we can help financially, there are many other things we can do to support Jim: read how and help us fly the flag of freedom on the blogosphere!

3. Send a media release to your local media outlets:
something along the lines of “Canadian Government outrage: local blogger standing up” or the like: we want lots of media ASAP!

4. Attending BloggerCon? Pass a motion and get everyone to support it: it will only take a few people to raise this at BloggerCon and given that a good number of the elite blogorati are also paid journalists its important to bring this to their attention
