WA Premier Geoff Gallop resigns due to Depression

The Sydney Morning Herald, the ABC and The West still haven’t got the story, and News.com.au is only reporting that he’s about to resign, so we’ll break the story in the Blogosphere.

Western Australian Premier Geoff Gallop has annonuced his resignation as Premier and from Parliament due to illness, which is beleived to be clinical depression.

More news once the rest of the totally asleep Australian online media organisations actually wake up.

Update: News.com.au covers the story in more detail. Still no details from the SMH other than “about to resign”.
