Sony has decided that it’s time that fathers got in on the blogging act and has launched the “Digidad Project”, a three month campaign which will see a number of top male bloggers getting hold of some Sony equipment and reviewing its use within their families.
Kit will include BRAVIA TVs, Blu-ray players, Cyber-shot cameras, DSLR cameras, Handycam camcorders, VAIO notebooks and the Reader.
The dads chosen are Michael Sheehan of HighTechDad.com, Max Kalehoff of AttentionMax.com, Brad Powel of DadLabs.com, C.C.Chapman of DigitalDads.com and CC-Chapman.com, Jeffrey Sass of DadoMatic.com, and Chris Brogan of www.ChrisBrogan.com and Dadomatic.com.
All equipment is loaned to the dads, so it has to be returned after being reviewed. Bloggers will be treated “as journalists” and have the freedom to review the products as they want.
The first blog post, Here Come the Dads, notes:
“We’ve got some fun activities lined up for them and they’ll blog and vlog about their experiences using the products as well as their likes and dislikes. Reviews will be published on the dad’s own blogs as well as right here. We’ve dedicated a special DigiDad page for this project where you can stay apprised of each assignment.”
