Blog tracking goes mainstream: Nielsen purchases Intelliseek

The Nielsen company (owned by VNU) best known worldwide for its tracking of television viewing has purchased Buzzmetrics, which has then in turn purchased Intelliseek, the company behind the blog tracking service Blogpulse, to become Nielsen Buzzmetrics (don’t worry, I’m confused as well).
What it does see though is one of the worlds largest TV viewer polling companies acquring on of the biggest blog tracking firms, and that’s a big deal.
