YouTube Now Supports Deep Linking
October 27, 2008
YouTube have added support for deep linking, which means that you can link to a specific point in a video by adding the timestamp to the link. Like so:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeZxRYXZ154#t=0m39s
By adding #t=0m39s, you’ll send the visitor 0 minutes and 39 seconds into the video. About time huh? (Thanks all who sent this in!)

Except it doesn’t work… you didn’t test your link? Where did this tidbit orginate?
It does work. Presumably you need JavaScript enabled, and no weird extensions that might interfere with it. If you fit those criteria, I have no idea why it isn’t working or you. :/
I apologize. I restarted browser and yes it did work.
Thanks for a great tip.
