B5media Launches Casual Games Blog
Gamerlite launched on April 8th, but the announcement on the official b5media blog went out today. It’s a blog covering casual gaming, which could probably be a good addition to the Video Games Channel. With their own words:
Anyway, joking aside, if its about board games, racing games, puzzles or anything else that you play for minutes or even just for a few hours at a time, we will cover it here. Or at the very least, we’ll try. If we did miss out on anything, just let us know.
Check it out if you’re into casual gaming.
Thord Daniel Hedengren is a designer, writer, and blogger, and also the former editor of The Blog Herald. He used to be a hotshot in the gaming industry in Sweden, but sold everything and went International. Most recently he wrote a book called Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog, and does loads of kickass design.
Erm, thanks? First time we’ve gotten (positive) BH coverage … since Duncan owned it I think ;-)
Now I wonder if this comment’ll go through (I was banned for ages!) :)
Nice to see Casual gaming getting some attention.
@Jeremy Wright
I’ll find something to bash if you’re feeling awkward about it. ;)
@Tim Mailer
Agreed. Casual gaming have reached new heights these last few years.
Casual games are easier to develop, shorter lifecycle, and less money to invest than desktop or console games. That’s why this type of game become popular.
