CNET bows to the power of blogs

The Internet Stock Blog reports that CNET has formally announced that it is adopting TrackBack link notifications on stories on CNET News. CNET News began supporting TrackBack links in late November, but waited until now to confirm the policy with a formal announcement.
The Blog argues that this is important it is a tacit admission that mainstream media companies like CNET are threatened by blogs, CNET’s adoption of TrackBack links will further fuel the growth of blogs, Blogging will hit stock investors’ radar screens imminently the announcement will further enhance Six Apart’s market position as it continues to bloom as an attractive virgin ready for picking in an IPO or takeover.
