Re-energize your paper (but it almost works for blogs too)
I love RSS, I think I find everything I need that way. I also hate RSS since it makes it a lot harder to make money as a publisher if the reader doesn’€™t land on my site at all, but that’€™s a whole different story. This link turned up in the Kottke feed, thanks Jason!
Ways to re-energize readers is the topic of this forum post (yeah, it’€™s a forum that looks like a standard web/blog page, silly). 15 points aimed at the print market, but definitely worth reading for bloggers as well. Some points are obvious to us of The New Media, like answering e-mails and talking to real people, but bloggers could learn a lot from the first point:
1. Go out in street, see news, write it up.
