A simple twitter “how-to” video

April 13, 2008 by Matt Craven

Still having difficulty explaining twitter to those that aren’t using it? Or someone that just doesn’t “get it”?

Digitalphocus highlights this simple twitter how-to video by Sam Harrelson over at YouTube.

I just used it here at the coffeeshop that I’m blogging from to explain what I was doing with twitter online as I blog..

You can only talk about the Restaurant in the Restaurant

April 12, 2008 by David Krug

The latest Saturday Afternoon Chatter on Techmeme is about where conversations take place after we post on our blogs. The former editor of the Blog Herald Tony Hung thinks aggregation services have crossed the line. I tend to disagree. It’s like Restaurants having policies that you are only allowed to talk about the restaurant in the restaurant using approved feedback forms.

Read/Write Web profiles 7 leading social media evangelists

Tweetstats – analytics for Twitter

April 6, 2008 by Matt Craven

Center Networks has a pretty interesting review up of TweetStats – a new service that provides some pretty interesting statistics about twitter users.

Here are a few profiles to peek at:

  • Jason Calacanis
  • Shel Israel
  • Loren Feldman
  • Matt Craven

Obviously from looking at mine you can tell that I just started using Twitter today!

The charts are well done, professional looking, and quite fascinating to behold. The data is even more interesting when you start looking at who is twittering directly to whom and what conclusions you may be able to draw from that.

TweetStats is a pretty interesting service that I’ll be using in the future… Who are you spying on?
