foursquare Foursquare Launches Symbian Application

Foursquare has just opened their application up to millions of new users, announcing today on their blog that they have finally released a Symbian based version of their popular location based check-in program.

The announcement gives millions of users with middle and low-end phones access to the company’s database including a home screen widget that shows the most recent friend check-ins on your account (pictured).

While the official announcement from Foursquare was made today, the program has actually been available for two weeks in the Nokia Ovi store and has quickly climbed near the top of the Nokia store’s top download list (top 30 apps).

The Foursquare app will work with Symbian 3.2, 5.0, and ^3 Smartphones.

Today’s announcement follows a recent Google Android Foursquare 2.0 release which has been met with mostly positive reviews from Android Smartphone users.

Do you have Foursquare for Symbian? If you do please let us know what you think about the app (positives and negatives).

    hi ,
Adobe has banned IRAN , so iranian people cant download flash player , and it makes a lot of problems for us in iran to update our player or even opening websites. If adobe is trying to extend the number of flash users , so why are they doing this way ? Is this the way they compete with iphone ?
nowadas iphone users are growing in iran , although its expensive , but it has a lot of fans and growing ,
