Napster Co-Founder Sean Parker Joins Twitter, Apologizes To Zuckerberg

Sean Parker Joins Twitter

Napster co-founder and former Facebook president Sean Parker has decided to give Twitter a try, joining the social network with his first tweet directed at Facebook CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Parker’s first tweet simply reads:

“Sorry Zuck, I had to do it eventually. (Actually @scooterbraun made me do it.)”

If you’re unfamiliar with Braun he’s the manager for teen heartthrob Sean Parker.

It’s been a big “buzz month” for Parker who took out Facebook ads asking people to “Like” him for an upcoming blog, while Rhapsody bought Napster, a site he helped co-found with creator Shawn Fanning at age 19 (his exact role with the founding of the company has been disputed).

The first tweet was sent on Monday afternoon and it obviously wasn’t a spur of the moment decision since Parker’s account was verified before he even sent out his first tweet.

At the time of this post Parker already has 10,241 followers @sparker.

Upon the launch of his Twitter account some analysts believe he may be preparing to launch a new startup, while others believe he may be getting more serious about his upcoming blog.
