AOL launches web based RSS reader

AOL has launched a new web based RSS reader under the banner of My AOL beta.
The new service is clean and quick, and although it lacks general topic search capabilities (for release later) it works well. Suprisingly perhaps, is that its works, at the moment, without the need to register, so for casual use it works really well (I’m presuming it works off cookies).

AOL adding RSS is telling. RSS is such an accessible technology, it definitely has a future. Right now, in terms of PR and buzz, RSS is eclipsed by blogging, but the two easy-access media are made for each other.
