Easy subscription to Bloglines feeds using IE7
October 19, 2006
Bloglines toots its own horn today by pushing for an add-on to recently launched Internet Explorer 7. Just a click to get that pretty RSS feed to your Bloglines account, sure sounds nifty having it in the browser doesn’€™t it? Other browsers will get theirs in due time it appears.
There are actually quite a few RSS add-ons for IE7 already. With any luck we’€™ll see a vivid add-on scene just like Firefox has.

One of the most interesting aspects of the IE vs. Firefox battle is the development of the ecosystem of extensions or add-ons. Right now firefox had a great advantage in this space but you can see microsoft trying to catch up.
Microsoft has a interesting partner in Trailfire, a recommended download for IE7. See link:

But this extension is also available for firefox. See link:

I think the ecosystem for firefox and IE will decide who wins this battle. What do you think?
Good news for the masses of IE users. I hope they are going to switch to IE7 to be able to read my RSS, even if I would suggest Opera browser instead.
