Firms tracking bloggers, but are they actually listening

A report in the Boston Herald on firms tracking what being said in the blogosphere, but the important question is: are they actually listening?

  • I co-founded a company that tracks blogs and your post hits a crucial point. Tracking blogs doesn’t work unless companies listen to the results, however when they start the process they are showing some willingness to get involved. Our clients seem very interested in what they can learn from the blogosphere but also what is written is UseNet, consumer review etc.
