Google considering integrating Blogger and Gmail

May 12, 2005 by Duncan

After a fair bit of speculation and the recent emergence of a “Google” login at Gmail, Biz Stone has spilled the beans and stated that Google is looking at integrating GMail and Blogger.

According to Infoworld, Google is also considering the creation of an enterprise Blogger version. The move would be the first return to a paid blogging service since the Blogger service was acquired from Pyra Labs in 2003, and would also be the first clear effort by Google to obtain a clear return on its investment in Blogger.

Other changes mooted include allowing users to natively upload images to their blogs from within the Blogger interface.
