Steve Pavlina and the Art of Making Money Blogging
Steve Pavlina writes a 7000+ word post on his blog about how to make money online. Steve has grown his blog from $5 a day to more than $200 a day in the last 12 months.
Steve outlines the following as his current choices for blog revenue:
- Google Adsense
- Donations
- Text Link Ads
- Chitika
- Affiliate Programs: Amazon & Linkshare
- Individual advertising campaigns
It’s truly a well written and well thought-out article that provides some great guidance on how to make money online through blogging.
My own experience has been that we tend to make more money through our individual advertising sales, followed by Google’s Adsense program, and then by Text Link Ads. Our Blogads sales are also increasing as we add more sites into that advertising program as well.
In the end, how one monetizes their blog is really up to them. Steve outlines a fine process of constantly examining what works – and what does work – on his blog and then makes changes appropriately. It’s well worth the read.

It’s really possible to do all that money with a blog, but you need to do the things in the right way.
