Are You On You Might Just Win a Free Domain!

Google Tutor thinks is not really a great place to be for a blogger, especially with the recent reports that at least three fourths of blogs on are splogs (spam blogs). So putting his money where his mouth is, The Tutor is giving away $10 each to six readers for the purchase of new domains. He will even help you set up your Blogger blog on your new domain.

I will give you the $10 for a domain name AND help you switch your BlogSpot urls over to your new domain!

I can’t do this for everyone obviously so I’ll have a little contest, rules are:

Google Faceoff

  1. Your blog must be on Blogspot now and live
  2. You must be a member of my MyBlogLog community to participate. If you are not a member, you can join here, it’s very quick and free.
  3. You must post the link to your blog and desire to participate in the comments on this post. “I’m in” and the link will do.
  4. You have to accept PayPal for the $10 as I shouldn’t actually buy the domain for you. Once it is bought, I’ll either do the switch for you or walk you through it via IM, it’s up to you.
  5. There will be SIX WINNERS! Winners will be randomly chosen from the comments by 8pm EST today, or if this doesn’t work out by then when we have six comments

Quick! There are only about four hours to go before 8 p.m. EST. While you’re at it, maybe you can try porting your blog over to WordPress (or even another blogging platform) just to get the feel of it!

  • This is a good contest by my friend Google Tutor.. however, he was a little too late for me. I got a shiny dot com domain name few days ago!! =)

  • That’s interesting. I wonder if this is from the new version of blogger or the old (I would side with the latter).

Ironically, as far as content theft goes, I have found more wordpress blogs in the game than blogspot ones.

I was going to write an article about it, but decided I would get mobbed as BH is a wordpress friendly society. ;)

  • That’s great
But the blogger has been blocked in China
And blogger domain name also has been blocked
    so regret

  • Thanks for the plug BH!! Contest has now ended and we have 6 winners of spam free domains!

You are correct that WP is also used for spamming, however most of that spamming is done on individual domains, not all over one like it does with Blogspot. Sooo much spam is is within that one place, people really risk their blogs rep and search engine results by being associated with it.
